"Our forests face a ton of challenges nowadays, and we're not going to address those challenges by planting pines everywhere."

Meet James Steidle

Moose, deer, elk - they really depend on broadleaf tree species. That's the birch, the willows, the aspens.  Unfortunately, that isn't really allowed under the existing laws.

James grew up south of Prince George, BC in the bush.  He worked as a tree planter for three years and in Clear Lake Sawmills for four years. He currently runs a woodworking company and works with aspen wherever he can.  Watch as he explains the importance of forest diversity for healthy habitats and wildlife populations.
